The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre is located on the beautiful Vanier Park walk on the south side of False Creek - it is open Tuesday - Sunday, plus holidays. It is a top attraction in Vancouver, and especially good for families. The Planetarium is the main part of the Centre. The Museum of Anthropology is located at the University of British Columbia. "Anthropology is the study of peoples of the world and how they organize and express human experience." The Museum houses approximately 35,000 ethnological objects and 200,000 archaeological objects. According to their website, "While most museums display less than five percent of their collections, the Museum of Anthropology presents more than forty percent for visitors to discover and enjoy." Metrotown Centre is the largest shopping and entertainment complex in the province, with over 500 stores and services, 22 cinemas, an entertainment centre, and restaurants in two centres: Station Square and Metropolis at Metrotown. It is located at 4800 Kingsway, in Burnaby. Lots of parking, or go there directly on public transit, using the Skytrain. Bring lots of cash!
