Parking
We parked at Science World as it has ample parking. It is pay parking but it is not as expensive as downtown and the meters take coins and credit cards.

Let's Go!
North False Creek is part of a walk that allows you to walk all the way from the University of BC to Stanley Park around Burrard Inlet and False Creek, a total of approximately 25 miles. We started at Science World which is worth spending a couple of hours at if you have the time. The golf ball shape of the Science World is a major landmark. The path heads north from the Science Centre along the end of False Creek through a nice park that runs along the end of False Creek. You get a nice view of False Creek and BC Place Stadium.

As you leave the park, you continue along the shore of False Creek past a short industrial area. While this is not the most scenic part of the walk, you do get a different perspective of the Vancouver skyline. The path then heads into the Plaza of Nations, a holdover from the 1986 worlds fair. The area has a concert stage and various shops and restaurants.

You leave the Plaza of Nations and head along False Creek and pass under Cambie Street Bridge. At this point you could cross the bridge and join up with the False Creek Walk. Under the Bridge, there is a playground where David tried some of the equipment and Bill took advantage of the water fountain. Across False Creek you can see Monk McQueens on the False Creek Walk.

You continue on past Cambie Street Bridge and walk along a brick path past expensive new condominiums. When you get to the two unusual sculptures, you have the option of turning right and joining the Yaletown Walk. To continue the North False Creek walk, continue along the shoreline to the Granville Street Bridge.

The walk to the Granville Street Bridge gives a clear view of the False Creek Walk on the other side of the water. As you get to Granville Street Bridge, you have the option of crossing the bridge to join the Granville Island Walk.

As you near the end of our walk we get a view of the Burrard Street Bridge with its classic architecture. Passing under the bridge, you get a view of the HR MacMillan Space Centre in Vanier Park. A little further on, you arrive at the Granville Island Ferry stop that is part of the Vanier Park/Burrard Bridge Walk.
